Description

The Pasture gives you a truly innovative gameplay and experimental possibilities that will allow you to experience yourself as a different character – a member of mysterious modern art elite.

The Pasture is a product of endless self-reflection of modern games, where all the different genres and control styles are constantly flowing one into another, making it hard sometimes to even tell where exactly is the player, has he finished the game, is he a protagonist or only a hostage of the incorrectly programmed NPC.

The Pasture is a simulator of art life and people living it. One of the concepts of this world: “die or have your own exhibit at a big museum” allows a player to experience numerous funny and sometimes weird emotions.

The game mechanic in The Pasture is totally nontrivial. It may seem very simple, but yet it gives you a whole range of feelings: from hopelessness before the museum staff and famous artists to a vague understanding that it’s the implicit methods in this game that will allow you to “move forward”.

The game includes more than 30 pieces of contemporary Russian art, so you will have a great opportunity to fill out possible gaps in your education.

Features:
 • Several playable characters.
 • You can create your own exhibition at a museum.
 • A possibility of dying more than once.
 • The real prototypes. The game takes place in the existing Russian galleries.
 • The ability to earn rewards and set records.
 • Meet the artists and learn about the most significant works of Russian contemporary art.

Reviews about the game
You know how some games are so sophisticated that you have to play it more than once to truly capture it's essence?
This is definitely NOT one of them. This game's based on an unintelligible russian guy talking in the background, broken controls (i was only able to walk backwards) and no relation to what it's supposed to represent. Want a good game that actually does what this so called game tried to do? Try Off Peak It's free, it's short and it's fun. Peace out.

Game that makes you move backwards, then stop then move again and thats it. Hard to explain how bad this game is need to see how to believe, if you want to play the worst or the worst download. If money is something you have to think about then avoid, each round requires you to get to a random point on the map. 20 items to collect to completly do everything in the game, about 20-30minutes of gameplay max. If you like to have 10-15 fps while WALKING (!), hear russian voices talking all the time, see some genitals of "art" or just to crash your PC sometimes - do it! - 1/10 for (apparently) fast + easy achievements.

Are you a fan of Russian contemporary art? Ever wanted to have your own art gallery? What about being chased by a man looking to beat you to death with an eggplant? If so then this game is for you! The Pasture is a somewhat bizarre game revolving around your character essentially exploring an art museum. You walk backwards while being "chased" by one of two art curators (?). As you walk a meter fills up. Fill it up all the way and you will die and need to start over. The overall game itself isn't terribly long and offers a small amount of replayability in getting "awards" for doing various tasks such as reaching the goal in a minute or collecting all the art work. The cheap price tag really helps sell the game because beyond the awards you can work towards there's not much reason to come back to the game when you're done. But it's definitely interesting both gameplay-wise and visually, funny at times, and definitely bizarre. So if you got a spare dollar laying around and looking for something a bit weird, I'd say give it a go. If anything it's got achievements and trading cards. My horrible playthrough of it: https://youtu.be/rSd0OOkhtns

Abstract art has always had a difficult time getting a serious positive foothold in the gaming industry. One of the biggest reasons for this is because a lot of the abstract artists often want to showboat that their type of art expression/message ascends beyond the normal level of what's acceptable, they often lash out that they are not to be boxed into conformity, which often means expressing themselves without applying any form of self-discipline and thoughtfulness for customer. Vexing mechanics are all too common in abstract games such as loud ear violating noises and shouting, the administering of unfriendly mechanics such as wonky controls, disorientating flashy lights and unfriendly pitch-black backgrounds, among a large assortment of other hostile trolling features to the customer. This more often than not works in sharp contrast and any noble message the artist is trying to convey simply gets completely lost to a rage quit experience. The second problem is that the Abstract Art medium is all too appealing for the random lazy asset placement scammer to flood the market. These questionable, bare boned, paper thin, frivolous time wasters have zero to offer in the department of meaningful expression. They are simply a sleazy grab your cash that eventually tarnishes the market from authentic indie developers and has severely brought into question Steams overall commitment to quality assurance. The pasture is nothing more than a lazy asset arrangement with trolling mechanics. You can only walk backwards in this game and you have to stop every couple of seconds to reset the death counter or you will die and be exposed to nonsensical shenanigans and ear assault. The objective is to pick an American death reaper with rainbow wings or a smoking woman too old for a latex fetish. Once you have picked one, your then forced to walk the entire art gallery backwards while the chosen npc curates in gibberish. Amongst all the art gallery there are 20 boxes of art not unboxed yet, your objective is to find them all and unbox them, being treated to their name and a brief description when you do so. After finding all 20 your then to locate the meeting symbol which is a coffee cup trademark and then be whisked away to heaven to be greeted by more ear violating noises. The experience was so unwelcoming that all I would like to say is can developer Mikhail Maksimov and all those that played a part in voice dubbing can you please stand in the middle of the highway at night dressed in complete black and try and do one of the in-game achievements yourself? Preferably the one that requires you to die 5 times. If your contemplating buying this. DON'T. Like the game, just walk backwards from this one and it’s store page. Complete game below to settle your curiosity... https://youtu.be/uzjcvlGqCOM
