NARAKA: BLADEPOINT

You will almost always be fighting people from other countries ping abusing. The ping abuse in this game is a serious problem that is never addressed. In addition, people switch servers to get easier lobbies because rank resets. You'll be in high platinum/low solar (like me), fighting only Unrivaled Asura's that ping abuse from other countries. Until they fix it, don't get invested into this game or join in the ping abuse and play on a different server.

Can't polish a turd. I've come back to this a few times and all they keep working on is the cosmetics. But here's my two cents. Positives - Unique melee combat focused battle royal game with emphasis on high skill ceiling combat. The game-play is awesome when it works. Makes you feel very rewarded when you make a good choice with attacks or abilities to best someone. Really good looking environments with some pretty cool location changes across two BR maps. Ton's or other types of match types too including PVE experience. Bunch of characters with unique abilities you can combo with a ton of weapons to create some pretty cool combos. Some cool cosmetics for those that care about that. Full customisation of a characters face i.e you can make someone look like squidward. Free to play. Negatives - Terrible net-code. This combined with server hoppers doesn't make for much fun. Skills / Attacks can get avoided just because of this which can cost you a game. Typically got people skipping frames and teleporting around because of this. You'd think the person local would get an advantage but it goes to the person connecting from the other side of the planet??? You can literally go too another server and infinite combo someone because of poor connection. (Btw you mention this on their discord and you just get admins / E24 reps ignoring it like its not a problem or saying anyone can do this on any ping / frame settings). Combine the above with frame rates this becomes a nightmare where there is no consistency of things connecting or not connecting. Some combos are impossible on certain frames (low frames causes the user to possibly miss key inputs, imagine this on a platform fighting game.) Poorly optimised. It seems like regardless the spec of your PC your always going to get frame rate dips and inconsistencies. E24 regard the combat as "rock paper scissors" i.e basic attacks, charged attacks and parry. If some of those don't line up as expected because of frames / net-code then it just becomes frustrating which is probably why the player base has tanked since release (but that's just a speculation). Which brings me to my next point... Some matches can be desolate i.e you don't play VS anyone apart from bots or you get sudden influxes of experienced players into games and can be super competitive. The player base (at least in EU) is not large enough to give an enjoyable progression curve for anyone new to the game. I'm not looking to be the best, but i'm also not looking to play vs try hard server hoppers who ping abuse in ranked. Bad character design and balance. Literally all the characters look the same to cater for a certain stereo type / trope. Pretty much all the female designs are "Hi i'm obnoxious and think i'm better than everyone plus I have zero personality." The male characters are just bland save a few. They can't help themselves to release a character that is not broken or imbalanced. But this is typical for most games these days for marketing purposes. i.e this character has to be a success so we need to make sure people play it for whatever the reason is. ---- In conclusion - By no means I want this game to fail. It is a cool concept and is really fun to play. But the negatives far outweigh the positives at the moment and they haven't really taken any steps to fix them since release. Will I keep playing? Yes absolutely because it is a fun game, but then i'll just get frustrated again because of inconsistency and uninstall till I see new patch notes. Because of that I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anyone.

Good game ruined by input reading bots, like why tf is there bots in ranked not only that but apparently there is bots even in the highest rank lol wtf

useless garbage, don't waste your time and money

bad match maker... you can get newbie team and you still get score penaltized as you have to solo 1vs3 because your other teammate is newbie and can't do anything. and worst is anyone can leave the team without punishment and u can't even report them. Not recommended unless u like to play solo.
