Fractured Online is a dynamic, open-world sandbox MMORPG, where you define your own destiny.

The unique knowledge and talent system allows skills to be discovered, learned and mastered quickly, providing new and core players with a unique experience right from the start. With the action beginning from day one, enemies are defeated through skill and cleverness, not equipment or level.

No set paths mean limitless adventure. You decide whether you explore the vast, interactive fantasy worlds, fight monsters and other players in dynamic PvE and PvP battles, gather resources, craft and enchant unique items, setup a trade empire, or grow your virtual home into a prosperous city by cooperating with other settlements or conquering them.

Become the hero you always wanted to be! Less grind. More freedom and adventure.

Fractured Online is the first open-world sandbox MMORPG mixing action combat with fully dynamic environments, appealing equally to lovers of competitive and cooperative gameplay. Jump right into the fray from day one. Learn and memorize the best skills to defeat your enemies through planning and cleverness, not equipment or level. Gather resources, craft, trade, explore and fight in your legendary adventure as a solitary hero, or start a settlement with your guild and grow it into the next empire.

Explore three different, ever-changing worlds in your own way and help to shape them to your liking. What has been true the last time you visited a place, is very likely to be different today. Roaming monsters, growing settlements and a constant day and night cycle will grant you a new experience every day. Make sure to adapt and leverage the world in the best way possible.

Fractured Online breaks the boundaries of the typical MMO genre by bringing the combat style you’ve loved in single-player Action RPGs into a complex sandbox universe. Learn to aim, dodge and master over 400 abilities and 40 unique status effects. Defeat your enemies, learn their abilities and master them for yourself. Only your skills and tactics will lead you to victory! If you can´t succeed in a certain situation, have a rest, memorize a new skillset and try again.

Finding a broadsword in the corpse of a rat sounds a little unlikely? Forget about old RPG clichés and enter a world where every item is crafted by players. Exploit the uneven distribution of resources to get high profits when trading at faraway markets – but make sure you reach your destination alive! You decide if you want to craft and upgrade your own equipment, or rather spend your hard-earned money to browse the player auctions.

Looking for a new home? Find a suitable location in one of the player-run cities to build your house or start a new settlement with your guild. Every city is as unique as the players contributing with their individual styles. As a governor, you’ll be able to guide its development into a social, trading, or military hub. Beware, though: the rise to power of your city won’t go unnoticed, so get ready to protect it from hostile raids and sieges!

Looking for the extra kick? Asteroids host highly competitive end-game PVP events. Travel there through one of the mysterious stargates and find death or glory. Gather scarce resources or fight for control and influence for your guild, climbing to the top of the leader boards & bringing home relics to advance your settlement.

Reviews about the game

Fractured Online10.12.2023

After 200 odd hours of gameplay, i believe i can give an honest review. A little grindy but thats ok, main problem for me was that different mobs had different resisteances, so much so that near mid to end game you had to respec to be able to even damage the enemy. Sucks when you really want to be a certain class and the worst was that you could only respec once per week whhich meant you were locked in to same content for a week. Additionally, pvp... pvp should be player wanting fight v player wanting fight, not high lvl player wanting fight v low lvl player trying to grind exp and gear. not fair and no one likes it except the few that are the higher lvl. No way to see enemy player level either or buffs debuffs on any enemy character. so on and on...

Fun game but with plenty of EA jank. Can only have inventory looted in PVP instead of full gear (unless red). I prefer this, some excitement without losing everything. When players lose all their gear, either gear is a joke to get so it doesn't matter, or gear is hard to get so nobody wears the good stuff. The crafting system is robust, time-consuming and fun. To gather heavier items such as ores, wood logs etc, a player must carry it in their arms (not inventory) and place it where they want it. Generally this involves moving your player made cart or wagon next to a resource, mining/chopping and then loading up the wagon and bringing it back. Unloading is the same way.. It's slow, but I found it very enjoyable. The entire market is player driven and it is not global. You can see what players in other towns are buying and selling but to buy/sell items there one must travel. That means that if you have a wagon full of copper, a journey to another town or continent to sell that copper would be more profitable than selling it in the town next to the copper mine. There is some fast travel in the form of harbors, but the cost is based on weight + distance. The game is completely buggy. I've never played something with this much jank but I do usually stay away from early access games. Within an hour of playing in any given day I'll run into multiple bugs, here's just a fraction: tooltip bug, glitching in door, going under bridge, invalid target for DAYS (especially if running a protection..very weird), unable to remove equipment bugs, gear staying on after it gets destroyed. My staff broke one day, it was not on my paper doll but I continued to have it on and was able to shoot with it for the next few hours until I logged out. That bug actually went in my favor! Devs are open with the community and I appreciate that.

Yea i know it is EA still but for me it is BIG NO! Idea is good kinda reminds me UO but cant even come close tbh. - Everyone is mage and there is no balance at all yet they keep nerfing other weapons like axe-dagger ( i was archer btw worst class) There is around 60-100( dont know exact number but it is around this ) magic spell while axe, swords, dagger, arrow have 4-5. They should name game Wizard or Mage online, probably DEV have fetish for it. - Mage classes are very lucky in this regard because if you play a character that uses STR or DEX or PER, do not expect any benefit from those skills unless you give INT or WIS, etc. Maybe 95% or 98% of the utility skills in the game use WIS or INT. Classes that use INT generally use their stats as INT-WIS-CON and, as you can guess, they benefit from many things. DEV stated that it will change this issue, but I do not know how much it will change. - No gap close for melee class, i mean they put one jump but mages have ton of mobility and huge dmg (EDIT: they change Relocate basilcally teleport and it was before 3-4 stack now fixed 2 stack after 15 int but now mages start use a skill from lightning that has 3-4 stack and makes you dash as deal dmg so no differance that much, mages also use jump skill like melees so you imagine lol ) at least they should let melee classes hit while they run, game dont have good kiting but still not enough melee classes to catch mage. - Combat is bad everything is via mouse apart from skills, and i would prefer WASD for move rather than skill because you cant run and click same time, also sometimes hard to click mobs and you start runing towards the mobs or player. DEV should change this and make WASD for movement. - There is no LOS, so if you are behind wall or a place like castle or covered with any obstacle, mages and archer can hit you from anywhere and this include archer-mage mobs EDIT:Now i find out that a little terrain differance cause you LOS but when you fire behind walls obstacles there is no LOS :) yea weird. - To many bugs and weird skill animation cancels or bug like wont trigger and you spam that skill until it is works. EDIT: also in general animations so clunky and bad. - Learning skills from mobs is good idea but skill bar not enough, game feels so bad because you basically have 1-2 dmg skill rest is utility because bar is not enough since you can be any class you want or combine something silly, so IMO need second bar. - Young Status should be stay until max level or longer rather than 80k knowledge, i reach 10 rank already got ganked over and over by full rank and set red players.. either put every monster each region so we can farm and get ready until we move to pvp, because you need to go other region for farm specific mob. - Portal (Stargate) oh man i hate this system, because you need 20 crystal to open gate and finding crystal node not easy and also need 2 node for gather 20 crystal or otherwise beg in chat for someone to open it or wait there until someone opens it, if you are lucky it will take 10 min to someone open portal to other map. Either remove this silly system and made auto like every 1 hr open portal for 5 min - 10 min or maybe 5 crystal cost? so we can open twice for every 1 node. - They keep telling ( Gold sink ) *** that mate, there is already alot of gold sink and maybe it is good for peoples who is rich or pro already, they keep adding things for gold sink. Please let us repair our armor, man which game has this silly system that you cant repair your armor?? at least let us repair but lose max durability like %10 each repair. Like this game gonna turn in to mindless grindfest. You wanna realism? then bring repair armor first. - No Friendlist, No Whisper.. come on dude ??? - I have nothing againts it but seems it is true that Unity engine games not enough to be in market I could write more but thats most things annoyed me and sadly cant refund game since Steam dont take refund after 2HR which is silly should be more. Gonna continue to play for a bit and see next balance patch and QoL things if they are going in right way or not, and i will keep update my review each time i find something or patch until i stop playing this game. EDIT: Now DEV announced that they gonna bring patch called " END GAME CHANGER " and this patch gonna change balance between classes which is look solid but lets see first before judge

This game (Version b.1.0e) could be fun. After my first 16 hours I dont like atm: --- the Controls - looting does not work without repositioning a few times, the spells do not have responsive feel - I would need more feedback --- The horrible FOV, you cant see anything, all the time, you can not turn the cam! Why and for what?? --- Wrong understanding of cool combat mechanics: Stun is no fun, has never been and it never will be - get rid of it! Stun is a mechanic of PvE-games where PvP was poorly patched in later. Nobody enjoys to sit and watch his toon die helplessly, wether in PvP nor in PvE. If you can not counter a attack -> it is crap and no fun! --- The Map an the maze design this world is. This is the most horrible take I have ever seen. You constantly end up in death ends. You can not tell from minimap and map if there is a passage to go or not. -- Balancing arround Damage over Time - No fun to try to keep your toon 20 seconds alive AFTER the fight has ended. -- Lot of things feel like unnecessary hurdles, just to strech out time - like loading carts per hand - the animation is so horrible slow... - No search functions or highlighting for the aspects of the enchanting items. This will result in most players will use 3rd party websites to copy the comination for the enchantments. Prevent this! I'm not sure this system won't be tedious and annoying in just a few days. The User Interface needs more work and needs more QoL, but I know it's early access/alpha. What i like: +++ the skill system and how you can build up your character. Respec is a basic concept. I like it! Very entertaining! ++ The breath of fresh air and the combination of crafting with world and economy - this looks promising and it looks like this could be the first game with a really working economy in a very long time without being super hardcore and ultra complex. ++ The enchantment system is a bit complex at first, but then it's fun. (But I'm afraid it doesn't get super boring after a while). + The base and town building looks good, but I haven't done much with it yet, other than building up my house with crafting stations for basic things, magic staffs, leather and linen clothing. + Crafting looks pretty good after 16 hours. There are many things, such as the fact that you can lose your house, which means you have to play regularly to pay your rent so you don't lose all your belongings. On the other hand, the base is built in a few hours of play and you're back in business as all skills are tied to the char, not the base. I haven't done any PvP nor have I experienced any PvP events yet, but I have read the usual complaints in chat. As starter you are protected against ganking - so I havn't had any bad experience at all. The system for evil/neutral/good and to tag yourself, get jobs as sheriff etc looks promising. Playing solo and as a lone wolf may be possible, but I suspect it will be very difficult the further you get into the higher content. All in all, there are to many no-go's for me to recommend this game to play now (FOV, unresponsive controls, etc.), but if you like this kind of games: Wishlist NOW! For people who like to play alpha and beta games and want to be there from the beginning, I can recommend trying this game.

Plays like old school ultima online only without any documentation on how anything works and way less content. Combat feels boring and shallow. PvE is boring and shallow. Crafting is extremely grindy, especially with how slow and tedious harvesting and transporting are. I was going to test the game more before giving up but a bug made my house not recognize me anymore. So it was going to time out in a few days and I had no way to pay its rent or taxes or whatever since I could no longer interact with it at all. I figured the game sucked so bad it wasn't even worth fixing since I was uninstalling anyways and just left it. Just a heads up for the amount of bugs that could possibly cost you a lot of in game time for those who decide to play this game longer.

This is an early access game and has a long way to go ... But it has extreme potential Fun PvP and PvE - satisfying progression system and many abilities allowing you to theory craft your own builds. Really good solid core game mechanics. Still early days but really good so far! For me it was well worth the money even in its early access state.
