Reviews about the game
The only thing wrong with this game is that there's no sequel.
I'm 59 years old probably one of the oldest people playing this game, my son died in a motorcycle wreck last year, this was his favorite game and I can see why He had 20 something hours on it when he died, I recently got on his laptop and wanted to see why. Now I see why it's a touching story, and every single time I play I can't help but cry thinking about him. Anyhow this is a wonderful game.
Bloodborne PC when?
I've played about 500 hours of this game, up until now mostly on a pirate ship, and it is seriously one of the most tragic cases of missed opportunity. This "game" (which is more entertaining than most films and series today) and its narrative are unmatched in emotion, acting, writing and story. BUT because everyone wants to play multiplayer and live service games now, don't lie you do, this game just went unnoticed completely. This game in a nutshell is what is wrong with games today. I have never played a game where i know everyone's names, care about the story lines so much, and they finally got open world RIGHT! On one mission to just go clear a camp I got sidetracked, hunted some animals, cleared out some nests, tracked footprints to a hostage, found a horde and took it out... and then after 5 hours I got back to my original mission. This is the epitome of what an open world is supposed to be. Alive. I'm heartbroken that we'll never get a sequel because... money. But its great fun after all these years still diving into the art book, or listening to the podcast. For a game that apparently bombed it has a massive following, and I know at this point its too late ever get a sequel. EA will buy the rights and in ten years we'll get a remake in unreal 8 with loot boxes and co op and PVP.... yay... Everyone wants to complain about games being shallow and boring and shit these days, its because we ignored games like this, and had to play the latest multiplayer trend which are just never ending cash machines. Single player games will always be superior because they stand the test of time. And for some reason I cry every time I leave lost lake and jack the dog. Oh that puppy :'(
Optimized by gods :))) I'll wait here for part II ... coz this story needs continuation!!
Ohh boi, Where do I start? Days Gone is truly an experience everyone should go through. I played this game on max difficulty right from the start and man, I never had to use my brain this much in a video game. The amount of brain you need to use to plan out routes for HORDES, etc truly makes you wonder why arent modern games like this. SAWMILL will forever haunt my life. This game is AMAZING. Heres why: PROS: - The game's score is very emotional and fits perfectly to the story and vibe. 11/10 - Graphics are possibly the best in any game ive played. The atmosphere setting is unparalled. 11/10 - Story is really good. Every character I met was interesting, Rikki is love. Deacon though stoic, has enough emotion in him to keep you invested. Good length of around 30 hours of mainquest and about 50hrs along with side stuff. 9/10 - The force feedback on controllers, even on xbox series X roller is INSANE! you can feel the weight of guns, the feel of reloading individual bullets into your shotgun, your bike travelling over rough surfaces, many more. 20/10 - Gameplay loop is top notch. Guns feel great, loot, crafting, bike management, customization, enemy variety, the HORDES AI, just top notch stuff. 11/10 - Not a lot of talk goes into this, but this game has some of the best UI animations and UI work Ive ever seen, rivalling Star wars Jedi survivor. 11/10 - Perfomance is great. Even at situations where theres Hordes of size>500 running at you, there is no frame drop. - Map design is top notch and was lived in and alive. Some areas actually game me goosebumps when exploring. Some outposts felt pretty similar but I dont think I encountered any place that was just copy pasted.9/10 - AI is really good. Pathing, awareness, stealth, detection mechanic are all good. Zombies AI in days gone is better than most NPC AI in 2023 games(uhh Starfield, cp2077,redfall,Immortals of aveum, etc.) 9/10 CONS: (not really) - Story, whilst good, are rigged with fetch quests. Some can get a bit annoying but these quests are usually interesting as there is some sort of purpose to it and not braindead collect this box for me, wipe someones arse for me so i will let you know the location bullshit like Starfield. - Some checkpoints and travelling parts felt tedious since you have to travel a lot with the bike. Initial hours of fuel management can get tricky. - Zombie wolfs can fuck off. - you cant aim for half the game unless you invest into the no recoil perk and you good. - Half the perks are useless - you can handle hordes only in the later parts of the game. this is connected to story but i would have liked to fight them/ have a taste at hordes at some point earlier.(you can stumble on hordes way before, but you will just die. theres nothing you can do) Bend studios came outta nowhere and dropped this amazing game and really dipped. I dont know about the initial controversies. When i played this game, it offered me no obstacles. 10/10. Would love a sequel or anything from this studio. The amount of love and soul put into this game by Bend studios put many AAA game studios to shame.
